A Distinct Identity
A Helping Hand Resource Center will be a multifaceted shelter, that provides education/training, access to resources, and temporary to long-term housing. After completion of an application, all services are on a first-come, first-served basis. Center residents and the public will have access to a food bank, meal kitchen, and general store (stocked with toiletries, clothes, shoes, baby items, etc.). We hope to have a computer lab and technician, to assist residents with applying, submitting, and bringing awareness to community resources. We look to service any individual who is food and/housing insecure, between the ages of 17 and 65 years old. After the successful opening of the Resource Center, we look to open a safe space, for LGBTQ+ and allies. A Helping Hand Resource Center will offer services to all individuals, regardless of age, race, color, creed, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
